Flowers are extraordinarily inexpensive in India and available everywhere. They are used lavishly in celebrations and altars of personal worship. I miss the adventure of visiting Indian flower markets with all their beauty and abundance…

And the sweet people who make their living selling them….

“India is not, as people keep calling it, an underdeveloped country, but rather, in the context of its history and cultural heritage, a highly developed one in an advanced state of decay.” ― Shashi Tharoor
The friends of mine who have had the opportunity of spending time in India have all come back with amazing stories. I think you’re probably right to suggest that not everyone would find it an easy adjustment, but considering the rich culture and amazing history, it would undoubtedly be unforgettable! Your photos are compelling. 🙂

It’s not for everyone as it can be challenging on the physical plane. But, for those who can dive deep into the history, the spirituality and the peace that permeates the land (beneath the outward noise) there is no place like it on earth.
