Hatha Yoga – The Lion Pose

I was talking with someone the other day who had been feeling poorly, mostly due to a sore throat. The Lion Pose can be a helpful tool to accelerate healing in this regard.

Crouch down on your heels with your hands on your knees, palms down. Tense the entire body extending fingers wide and stiffly. Roll eyes upward, tongue out and downward, and hold for fifteen to twenty seconds. Repeat two or three times several times a day. Of course, you can do this sitting in a chair, but how boring would that be? 🙂

It seems like a silly pose, but does do a lot to stimulate the throat region, increasing circulation to the area with invigorating blood. The Lion Pose and Neck Rolls (https://youcanstillchangeyourmind.com/2015/02/26/yogameditation/)  combined are powerful in helping to ward off any cold you feel coming on in the throat area.

No, Brigitte, no! Eyes wide open and tongue toward the chin!
